Summer Service Changes

ETS adjusts service five times a year based on rider feedback and seasonal changes in ridership, such as reflecting the school year cycle. Starting July 3, various bus routes will have some service changes to reflect typical summer ridership patterns. This includes the cancellation of public/catholic school routes/trips until August 31. Printable route brochures will be available soon.

Please use the ETS Trip Planner or real-time tools (i.e. Transit app or Google Maps) to plan your trip.

The following routes will experience schedule/frequency changes:

Capital/Metro Line LRT frequency will be changing to accommodate platform renovation and platform warning tile replacement work at Century Park Station.
- Capital Line trains run:
  - Every 10 minutes between 6am and 6pm on weekdays and Saturday.
  - Every 15 minutes from 5-6am and from 6pm and end of service on weekdays and Saturday.
  - Every 15 minutes all day on Sunday.
- Metro Line trains run every 15 minutes all day, every day

Stony Plain Road shuttle

Changes that take effect on July 3 include:

Route 508: Route adjustment due to turning issues from Woodvale Road to 58 Street. As a result, this route will continue on Woodvale Road, turn right on 38 Street, then travel on 50 Street to get to 34 Avenue.
Schedule adjustments to bus routes 512 and 513 to allow for better connections between these routes.
Route 516: Schedule adjustments to morning peak buses to allow for better connections with Route 515.
Route 524: Route adjustment due to turning issue onto 94 Street from Connors Road. Instead, this route will turn right onto 95 Avenue from Connors Road NB.
- As a result, service to Central Baptist Manor will be added to On Demand Transit network, with destinations to Capilano Transit Centre and Bonnie Doon Mall.
Route 906: Adjusted morning departure times from West Edmonton Mall Transit Centre to improve connections with Route 913
Stony Plain Road shuttle: The shuttle will continue to use Bay J (Bus Stop #5106) at Jasper Place Transit Centre, as Bay L at Jasper Place Transit Centre is permanently closed.

Starting August 22, bus routes 2 and 101 will start a long-term detour due to Latta Bridge Replacement and Kinnaird Bridge Rehabilitation. During this work:

Routes 2 and 101 will use Bay B (West Edmonton Mall)/D (Clareview) and C respectively at Stadium Transit Centre, instead of travelling to stops on 111 Avenue and 84 Street.
ETS will run a new shuttle, route 998, that will run a loop between the east side of Stadium Station and Jasper Avenue/90 Street until this work is completed. The destination sign on the shuttle will read “Stadium Shuttle”.
- This shuttle will run every 10 minutes between 6:00am and 9:36pm on weekdays.
- The shuttle will run every 10 minutes between 7:00am and 9:36pm on Saturdays.
- The shuttle will run every 10 minutes between 8:00am and 9:36pm on Sundays.

On Demand Transit update

Starting July 3, On Demand Transit service will be available at Alliance Villa (to/from Westmount/Jasper Place Transit Centre) and Central Baptist Manor (Bonnie Doon Mall/Capilano Transit Centre)

Holiday Service Changes

During K-Days (July 22-31), additional service will be available on bus routes 8 and 53, as well as the Capital Line LRT.

On August 1 (Heritage Day), buses and LRT run regular Sunday service.

On August 31, buses run regular weekday schedules, with catholic school specials and trips.

On September 1, buses run regular weekday schedules, with all public and catholic school specials and trips (routes 610-693).

On September 2, Route 622 to Concordia University of Edmonton will begin service. Extra post-secondary service starts on September 6.
