The Reuse Centre is a circular economy resource, accepting various items from Edmonton residents free of charge and making them available to organizations and individuals for reuse.

All group programs are available on weekdays, year-round. We kindly require a minimum of 10 people to run a presentation. Program content can be adapted to fit a range of ages outside of the audience listed.
This interactive program led by a waste educator will take you on a trip through the world of reuse, where you’ll learn why reuse is better than recycling, new ways to reduce your waste and how reuse helps protect our city and our planet.
Duration: 60 minutes
Participants will learn how to reduce, rediscover and recreate as they upcycle household items into new creations. Activities may include sorting items into their appropriate waste streams and inventing new creations from reusable materials.
Note: for Virtual DIY Kids programs, the materials are not provided.
Duration: 60 - 90 minutes
Calling all Waste Warriors! Do you have what it takes to overcome waste challenges and make choices that protect the environment? Join a waste educator for an adventure that will improve your waste reduction skills and make our city greener!
Duration: 90 - 120 minutes
Host a presentation to foster a culture of waste reduction within your organization with the help of a waste educator.
Duration: 30-60 minutes (flexible to meet your needs)
Do you know the legacy of your clothes? This interactive program led by a Waste Educator will educate you on the international journey your clothes take to get in your closet. You’ll explore the environmental and social impacts of the textile industry, while learning fun and positive ways to keep textiles from the landfill.
Duration: 60 minutes
Reducing food waste saves everything: time, money, food and the environment. Join a waste reduction expert from the City of Edmonton for tips and tricks on reducing food waste in your home.
Duration: 60 minutes
Abusive and disrespectful behaviour towards staff and other customers will not be tolerated.
Allow 6 feet of room, around staff and other customers, in order for stocking and browsing to happen fairly and safely.
We provide items for those who need it. Please only take what you need.
Access to the bins needs to be maintained at all times. To ensure fairness and safety among all patrons, do not remain around bins unnecessarily.
Reuse Centre Attendants reserve the right to ask patrons who violate these rules to change their behaviour.
