A registered vehicle must be identified to issue a permit to an address.
Parking in restricted areas is a violation for residents if a valid permit is not displayed.
All Applicants

Temporary/Visitor Permits
Business vehicle resident has to drive:
- Letter of authorization, on company letterhead, from the business indicating the business vehicle is required to be used by the applicant for business purposes
- Other verifiable documentation like a utility bill with the address in the name of the resident
- Permit issued for specific vehicle only and not to the business that owns it
Vehicle registered to someone else's and different address from the resident:
- Motor vehicle registration documents
- Letter of authorization from the registered owner indicating that the applicant has approval to use the vehicle
- Other verifiable documentation like a utility bill with the address in the name of the resident
Vehicle registered to resident and out-of-city or out-of-province address:
- Motor vehicle registration documents
- Other verifiable documentation like a utility bill with the address in the name of the resident
