Edmonton Transit provides service within the city boundaries as well as limited service throughout some of the regional communities.

Please Note: Bikes are not permitted in bike racks on ETS buses providing inter-municipal highway trips (Routes 560, 561, 570, 580, 589 and 747). The bike racks were not designed to securely hold a bike at highway speed and there is the potential for a bike to become loose and fall off during the trip.

Regional Fare Transit options for Students

For students who reside outside of Edmonton, most municipal U-Pass transit partners offer discounted commuter passes and tickets.

The City of St. Albert operates local bus service within the City of St. Albert and commuter bus service to and from various locations within the City of Edmonton.

When travelling on ETS service

St. Albert “Commuter” passes, tickets and valid transfers are accepted on ETS service. St. Albert “Local” passes, tickets and transfers are not valid on ETS service.

When travelling within Edmonton

All ETS fare products are valid on St. Albert service travelling within Edmonton.

When travelling locally within St. Albert and when travelling between St. Albert Transit Centres (including Naki Transit Centre) and Edmonton

All ETS fare product, except the Seniors Monthly Pass and the Temporary Pass, may be used with the payment of a $1 surcharge ($2 surcharge with tickets/transfers).

Note: ETS DATS Passes are not valid on St. Albert DATS service.

When travelling from one community to another

All ETS period passes, such as day passes, monthly passes, annual passes, except the Seniors Monthly Pass and the Temporary Pass, may be used for cross-boundary travel on St. Albert Transit with the payment of a $1 surcharge
ETS tickets and valid transfers may be used for cross-boundary travel on St. Albert Transit with the payment of a $2 surcharge

Strathcona County (Sherwood Park)

Days of Operation: Monday-Sunday

Strathcona County operates local bus service within Sherwood Park and regional bus service within Strathcona County and the City of Edmonton.

Strathcona County Transit Fares

When travelling on ETS service

Strathcona “Commuter” passes, tickets and valid transfers are accepted on ETS bus and LRT (valid at the ETS ticket validation machines in LRT station)
Tickets can be exchanged for valid transfers on ETS buses
Strathcona “Local” passes, tickets and transfers are not valid on ETS service

When travelling within Edmonton

All ETS fare products are valid on Strathcona service travelling within Edmonton.

When travelling locally within Sherwood Park

All ETS fare products (except the Senior Annual Pass, the Seniors Monthly Pass and the Temporary Pass), may be used with the payment of a $1 surcharge.

Note: ETS DATS Passes are not valid on Strathcona County Mobility Bus service.

When travelling from one community to another

All ETS period passes, such as day passes and monthly passes (except the Seniors Monthly Pass and the Temporary Pass), may be used for cross-boundary travel on Strathcona service with the payment of a $1 surcharge
ETS tickets and valid transfers may be used for cross-boundary travel on Strathcona service with the payment of a $2 surcharge

Leduc

Days of Operation: Monday-Friday during peak hours

Note: there are no cross-boundary travel arrangements between Leduc Transit and ETS.

The City of Leduc, in cooperation with Leduc County, operates local bus service as well as a regional service connecting The City of Leduc and Leduc County to Century Park in Edmonton.

ETS passengers wishing to travel to Leduc or Leduc County must pay the full Leduc Transit fare when they board Leduc Transit at Century Park and Leduc Transit passengers must pay the full ETS fare when they connect to ETS buses and trains at Century Park.

Leduc Transit

Fort Saskatchewan

Route #: 580 | Days of Operation: Monday-Friday

ETS buses offer peak hour commuter transit service to and from Fort Saskatchewan and the Clareview LRT (Light Rail Transit) station in northeast Edmonton.

ETS fare products (passes, ticket, DATS passes and transfers) are not valid on Fort Saskatchewan service. Regular ETS fare will be required to continue travel on Edmonton Transit once you arrive within Edmonton, unless the "integrated pass" is purchased.

For information on Route 580 including fares, route and schedules, visit the Fort Saskatchewan Transit Service or call the City of Fort Saskatchewan at 780-992-6218. The Route 580 is included in the ETS Trip Planner, allowing commuters to coordinate their travel planning with other ETS routes.

Spruce Grove

Route #: 560 | Days of Operation: Monday-Friday
Route #: 561 | Days of Operation: Monday-Friday, peak hours only

ETS provides service between Spruce Grove, Acheson and Edmonton, under contract with the City of Spruce Grove. Buses travel through the community, stopping at a number of bus stops and travel express between Spruce Grove and Edmonton.

ETS fare products (passes, tickets, DATS passes and transfers) are not valid on Spruce Grove service. Regular ETS fare will be required to transfer between the Route 560 and other ETS services. Riders must purchase Route 560 and ETS fares separately.

Beaumont

Route #: 540 | Days of Operation: Monday-Friday, peak hours only

Beaumont Transit offers service between Heritage Valley Transit Centre in Edmonton and the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre in Beaumont.

ETS fare products (passes, tickets, DATS passes and transfers) are not valid on Beaumont service. Regular ETS fare will be required to transfer between the Route 540 and other ETS services. Riders must purchase Route 540 and ETS fares separately.

Private Charter Bus Service

The Canada Bus and Red Arrow Ebus at Kingsway/Royal Alex RAH Transit Centre and Southgate Transit Centre

The Canada Bus and Red Arrow Ebus will operate their charter bus service from stop #1109 (bus bay B), which is located on the east side of the Kingsway/Royal Alex Transit Centre facing northbound. They also use stop #2217 (bus bay Q) at Southgate Transit Centre on the west side of the transit centre facing northbound. This provides for better regional connectivity and more travel options for Edmontonians and visitors to the city.
