Not everything needs to be thrown away! Have you tried upcycling your trash as planters or turning it into a living piece of art? This will be on display as the Muttart Conservatory presents the Junkyard Show in the feature pyramid this summer. With help from the eco station, a few antique stores and private contributions, we will transform "junk" into beauty. The pyramid will be filled with a ton of summer blooming annuals, a nice variety of textured grasses, and funky foliage caladiums and coleus. One person’s trash is another’s treasure - and we’re planting in it!

In between the feature pyramid shows, the feature pyramid is closed for show change.

The Muttart closed July 2, 2019 for rehabilitation work. That closure was 18 months. The remaining duration of the closure was due to provincial health orders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at MoveLearnPlay or in person upon arrival.
Tickets will be available at 30 minute intervals, and you will enter the Muttart during the specific time window on your ticket.
We ask that you please arrive during the window of time you selected for your ticket. We will be closely monitoring capacity to ensure everyone has a safe and comfortable visit.
All memberships were prorated and expired at the time of facility closure. Currently there are no active members.
As there are no active memberships, you must purchase a new one. Your membership will then count toward your admission.

There is no requirement to leave the Muttart at a certain time. You're welcome to explore at your own pace while being mindful of the one-way paths. We have reduced our daily capacity to help accommodate people who wish to stay longer, and we will have designated rest areas to keep the flow of people moving through the Muttart safely.
Not at this time. You can either buy general admission or child/youth tickets.
All bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day. Please practice good hand hygiene.
Yes, the Marigold gift shop will be open and selling a wide variety of merchandise.
Yes. Visit Culina Muttart for restaurant hours, menu and pricing.
Yes, we will ensure hand sanitizer is available at locations around the Muttart, including at the entrance and exit. We also encourage you to bring your own sanitizer and to wash your hands often with soap and water.
In the unlikely event that this does happen, the City of Edmonton will work with Alberta Health Services to ensure all proper processes and protocols are followed.
