Summer Service Changes
Five times each year, ETS reviews customer feedback, schedules, service levels and routes to ensure we’re providing the right amount of service at the right time. Summer 2022 service adjustments start Sunday, July 3. Please plan ahead and double check your routes and schedules.

Take ETS to the Edmonton International Fringe Festival

If you are planning a visit to this year’s Fringe Festival from August 11-21, Routes 4, 8, 9, 523 and 701 can take passengers to Whyte Avenue.

ETS Service is free for Fringe volunteers, artists and staff. Regular ETS fares apply to customers attending Fringe Festival.

Bus network feedback adjustments

Based on feedback from riders, ETS has made numerous adjustments to the bus network since launching in April 2021. ETS will continue to monitor and determine future adjustments to keep the bus network reflecting the needs of our growing city.

LRT Service Alerts

Capital/Metro Line Service Changes

From 6pm until end of service on July 17, Metro Line trains will only run between Churchill and NAIT to accommodate track repair work.

From start of service until 5pm on August 7, Capital and Metro Line trains will run every 20 minutes, with Metro Line trains only running between Government Centre and NAIT. This will help accommodate work south of McKernan/Belgravia Station.

From 6pm until end of service on August 14 and 28, Metro Line trains will only run between NAIT and Churchill to accommodate track work. Capital Line trains are not impacted by this work.

Elevators and Escalators

Elevator upgrades at Bay/Enterprise Square Station

Crews are working on upgrading both elevators at Bay/Enterprise Square Station. Stairs and escalators at this station remain open.

If you need the elevator to get to/from the platform, please use the elevators at Corona or Central Station during this time.

Escalator Replacements at Central Station

From May 16 until spring 2023, the three escalators at Central Station will be replaced. The west platform to concourse escalator will be out of service from May 16 until late-October 2022. Please use the stairs, elevator or the escalator located on the east side of the platform to access/exit the platform.

Bus Service Alerts

Detours

Route 124

Due to road work on Beaumaris Road between 153 Avenue and 109 Street, Route 124 will be on detour from August 12 until late October 2022.

Route 5

Due to major road work on 124 Street between 111 and 118 Avenue, Route 5 (Westmount) buses will be on detour from May 24 until late-October 2022. These buses will use temporary bus stops on 111 Avenue westbound during this time.

Route 5 (Coliseum) buses will not be impacted by this work and will continue to use 114 Avenue after leaving Westmount.

Shuttle Service

Stony Plain Road

A shuttle bus service runs every 60 minutes between Jasper Place Transit Centre and Unity Square at 116 Street and 104 Avenue. This service operates 7 days a week including statutory holidays. Regular ETS fares apply.

First shuttle leaving Jasper Place Transit Centre: 6:30am
Last shuttle leaving Jasper Place Transit Centre: 7:30pm
First shuttle leaving Unity Square: 7am
Last shuttle leaving Unity Square: 8pm

View Schedule and Route Map

Operators will stop at every stop on the route whether or not there is a rider getting on or off because there are no pull cords in the shuttle bus to request the bus to stop. If you need assistance locating your stop, please speak to the Operator. If you require the use of the lift to board or exit the shuttle bus, please let the Operator know and follow their instructions to board safely.

Please note: Bikes are not permitted on the shuttle.

Bus Stop Closures

Permanent Closures

Bus Stop #11444 (104 Street and 104 Avenue EB) is permanently closed. For bus routes 7, 110X and 500X, please use Bus Stop #1679 (105 Street and 104 Avenue EB) or Bus Stop #1915 (103 Street and 104 Avenue EB).

Temporary Closures

Abbottsfield Transit Centre
Due to road work on 119 Avenue, Abbottsfield Transit Centre will be temporarily closed from August 4 until late-October 2022. During this time, buses will use stops on 34 Street northbound between 118 Avenue and 119 Avenue.

Bus Stop #2982
To accommodate construction on 114 Street, Bus Stop #2982 (114 Street/83 Avenue NB) will be closed from May 1, 2022 until early-spring 2023. Please use Bus Stop #2638 (114 Street/85 Avenue NB) to board/exit ETS routes 4, 51, 637, 723 and 920X.

Bus Stop #1608
From May 11 to late-summer 2022, Bus Stop #1608 (100 Street /103 Avenue SB) will be closed to accommodate sidewalk rehabilitation work. Please use Bus Stop #1292 (100 Street/ 102 Avenue SB) to board/exit ETS bus routes 500X, 510X and 523.

Millgate Transit Centre Bus Stop Closures

From 4am on July 1 until further notice, bus stops #2107 (Bay H) and #2108 (Bay I) at Millgate Transit Centre will be closed to accommodate maintenance work at the transit centre.

Please use Bus Stop #2111 (Bay M) to board/exit bus routes 502, 505 and 510X (Downtown).
