City of Edmonton Compost is available at Ambleside and Kennedale Eco Stations from May 8 to early fall 2022.
This high-quality compost was processed at the Edmonton Waste Management Centre cure site, using the yard waste that was dropped off at the Eco Stations and collected through dedicated yard waste collection days. It is suitable for horticultural use such as landscaping, gardening, tree and shrub planting and top dressing.
City of Edmonton Compost is self-serve.
Please do not collect more than 100L, which is equal to five 20L pails, two 50L plastic bins or about two regular-sized garbage bags.
Compost is a soil enhancement, not a soil replacement. It does not take much compost to enhance your soil. All you need is one part of compost for every three parts of soil for your garden or landscape to flourish.
