Information for All Groups

Benefit Claim Deadline is April 30, 2022

City of Edmonton employees who receive benefits coverage through Alberta Blue Cross must submit any outstanding claims for the previous year by April 30. This includes all health and Health Care Spending Account claims. If you miss the deadline, you will not be eligible for reimbursement for the previous year’s claims.

To find out if your receipt can be claimed, please call Alberta Blue Cross at 780-498-8000. Claims can be submitted online, in person or by mail. If you use Canada Post, 2021 claims must actually be received by Blue Cross (not just postmarked) by Saturday April 30, 2022.

This is a hard deadline each year, and costs submitted past this deadline will not be eligible for reimbursement. For more information, visit Alberta Blue Cross Online Services on OneCity. (employee portal link)
